Instead of being a smaller version of the post Office counter sheet of 100 stamps, some Irish commemoratives have additional artwork incorporating or supplementing the stamp(s).
The 1991 Europa sheetlet has a full length view of the space shuttle launching. Parts of the Space Station were made in Ireland. (Figure 1).
The 2017 commemorative showing Dublin Castle has a view of one of the carving on the building. (Figure 2). A last example of the 1994 Europa Discoveries stamps hasBrendan the Navigator on the stamps while the selvadge has illustrations from the story of St Brendan’s adventure. (Figure 3). Did he and his group make the trip to North America?
The sheetlets differ from the mini-sheets described elsewhere.
